Try Coffee Frankfurt - Website

TRY is a small café in Frankfurt that stands out for its personality. I designed and illustrated the website, based on the characters I painted on the walls.

Breakfast and lunch are the heart of what they do, always alongside a handmade cake, and food is treated with real care here. A while back I painted the café's walls, turning the team into a cast of characters (one of them enthroning a coffee cup, another mid-air with a tray of flying snacks). That humor became the whole starting point for this project.

TRY does most of its talking through social media, so the site itself needed to stay minimal, just a friendly, welcoming space that doesn't take itself too seriously. I designed a set of food and drink illustrations to sit alongside the existing wall characters, then built a simple one-page site where everything comes to life as you scroll. I also drew a custom handwriting typeface for one section that needed a more personal, handmade feel.
